Mirnyj Dom Becomes Headquarters for Office to Support Refugees who Want to Study in Poland

Humanosh Foundation opened the Office which aims at matching the needs of the refugees with the offer of  Polish Universities and High Schools. The initiative was possible thanks to the involvement of KRASP (The Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland) who expressed their willingness to support political refugees in continuation of their education in Poland. We want to support students who wish to start/continue studies in Poland, scientists who want to work at the university and last but not least – people looking for Polish language courses. The initiative is financially supported by Fundusz Obywatelski im. Henryka Wujca.

The Office will be led by the Foundation team supported by Ms Nilofar Ayoubi – the Afghan women who came to Poland in August with a group of Afghan people evacuated from Kabul. She speaks Afghan and English. Contacts with the universities will be held by Katarzyna Skopiec, manager of the Foundation with long experience in supporting the refugees and students in particular. In the first phase the Office will aim mostly at the students from Afghanistan and Bellarus, later on it is planned to expand activities for other nations.
